Mr. Hall believed our employees should share in the success of our company. That’s why we created an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (“ESOP”) more than 20 years ago. Participating in the ESOP program means employees are part owners of the company and benefit financially from a job well done. In this way, there is a direct incentive for employees to work hard and take pride in what they do.
Each employee owner becomes a participant in this program after:
➡ Working at least 1,000 hours in the first year of employment
➡ Reaching 21 years of age
➡ Accumulating 1,000 hours each fiscal year
Unlike a publicly traded stock valued on the open market, the per share value of Hall’s stock is appraised annually by an independent valuation firm selected by the ESOP trustee. ESOP stock values have averaged increases of 16% compounded annually since 2002. That means an employee who received a company contribution of $5,000 worth of stock in 2002 now has stock worth $75,750 from that one year alone. It pays to stay at Hall Contracting!
